Vanessa meets Jack (Nicole Muñoz) and Monica (Tammy Gillis), leaders of a band of survivors. Jack (and a functioning karaoke machine) persuade Vanessa to stay the night. The inference is strong that Jack and Vanessa had sex that night, and there is certainly a strong attraction between the two. (The last time Vanessa had sex was in Episode 1.10.) Jack tries to persuade Vanessa to stay longer, but cannot. It’s not certain just where Vanessa is headed with such urgency, but she found a drawing of a cross in the Van Helsing History of Vampires book that acts like a compass, always pointing in the same direction no matter which way the book is turned. When Vanessa leaves, she gives Jack her sword, saying she just doesn’t need it anymore. (She tells Jack she has had a spiritual awakening. From now on, instead of killing vampires, she will cure them.)
Tricia Helfer (Dracula in Season Four) will star in a CREEPSHOW episode titled “Lydia Layne’s Better Half”, based on a story by showrunner Greg Nicotero and John Harrison, and directed by Roxanne Benjamin. Lydia is a powerful woman who denies a promotion to her protégée and lover but fails to anticipate the fallout. The six episode series (each episode has two stories) is a TV revival of the 1982 horror anthology film of the same name. (Adrienne Barbeau who appeared in the original film, will also appear in the TV series, starring in an adaptation of Steven King’s short story “Grey Matter“.) CREEPSHOW completed production in Atlanta in April and will air on SHUDDER later this year.
Alone on the island for 23 days, Scarlett constructs an imaginary friend and names it Wilson. In Episode 4.10 of MOTIVE, Peregrym was Jessica Wilson. Jessica murdered her older sister.
After twenty-three days on the island, Scarlett, unable to build a functional raft, discovers an inflatable life raft under her bed and makes it to the mainland. Sometime previous to that (it is about 80 kilometers from Denver to Loveland so the travel time between the two is much shorter than 23 days), Phil (Vincent Gale) and Joline (Caroline Cave) escape the prison bus taking them to Loveland. An organized manhunt is launched to recapture the prisoners (though Denver has been attacked and occupied by The Sisterhood, and one would think the surviving humans there would have better things to do).
