Lauren Holly (Sadie in “Midnight Lamp“) will be Monique, director of the Archer School of Ballet, in TINY PRETTY THINGS, an hour-long drama series based on the 2015 novel by Sona Charaipotra and Dhonielle Clayton. Monique is described as ambitious, ruthless, and powerful, using her “dark capacities” to defend the school by any means necessary (and to bring out the best in her students). Jess Salgueiro (Robin on THE BOYS) plays Isabel, a cop searching for the truth about what happened during a mysterious accident at the Academy. In the book, Bette, June, and Gigi are the three top students at the school. In the series, sisters Bette and Delia Whitlaw (Casimere Jollette and Tory Trowbridge) seem to be featured characters, along with their boyfriends Oren (Barton Cowperthwaite) and Ramon (Bayardo De Murguia). June is played by Daniela Norman, and the role of Gigi has not been cast. Production is underway in Toronto, and TINY PRETTY THINGS will be on Netflix sometime in 2020. Continue reading →
