Lanette Ware (nurse in “Family Portrait“) is Detective Bellows in Justin G. Dyck’s horror film ANYTHING FOR JACKSON. Audrey (Sheila McCarthy) and Henry (Julian Richings) are two grieving grandparents who lost their grandson Jackson in an automobile accident. Henry is a doctor, and he kidnaps one of his pregnant patients, intending to perform a reverse exorcism that will put Jackson’s soul inside the unfortunate woman’s unborn child. Soon Audrey and Henry discover that Jackson isn’t the only ghost they have invited into their home. ANYTHING FOR JACKSON completed filming in Barrie, Ontario in March and is expected to premiere on Super Channel Fuse in Canada sometime in the Fall.
Ware is also Betty in GIRL, a film starring Bella Thorne as a woman who intends to kill her abusive father, but after returning home to accomplish this finds that someone else has gotten to him first. Anna Chancellor as Grace, an architect who is afflicted with both a brain tumor and an amazingly needy family.
This comedy is not dark. LOVE OF MY LIFE is a tale that pokes fun at the darkness.
Grace (Anna Chancellor) has a brain tumor and has been told she might die. She makes the mistake of informing her husband Tom (James Fleet) of this dire fact, and because of that the movie begins with Grace reluctantly comforting a sobbing Tom (who is genuinely off-putting). So the film gets off on the wrong foot. Hopeful of keeping information about her medical condition between the two of them, Grace asks her husband not to tell anyone. He immediately phones their daughter Kaitlyn (Hannah Emily Anderson) and that opens the floodgates. Continue reading →
