Maggie (Elise Gatien) warns Roman that the townsfolk can’t be trusted.
In Episode twelve, Roman (Avan Jogia) discovered that, when the two pieces of the meteorite are assembled, the souls of everyone nearby (except for Roman) are detached from their bodies, enabling them to move about and even enter bodies other than their own. Roman used this feature of the meteorite to restore Abigail to her own body, and to rescue Val from the clutches of Deputy Norm. This time, Dr. Barker (Kandyse McClure) devises a scheme to chase the invading ghosts back to their place of origin. At the end of Episode 10, we clearly saw Paolo, Abigail, and Sophia burned alive by Father Dan (Vincent D’Onofrio) in the church basement. The priest also died in the fire. Maggie (we soon discover) is invisible to everyone but Roman. An apparent earthquake later, the bus driver swerves to avoid someone standing in the middle of the road (whom only he can see). The bus slides on its side onto the edge of a cliff. Mercer is shaken awake by Maggie. Something prevents him from saving any of the other passengers, but he manages to pop open the emergency exit and jump to safety before the bus and the rest of the people on board meet a fiery end.
