Mercedes Gardner (Dani Kind) turns up unexpectedly in Wynonna’s kitchen
The Garden where Waverly (Dominique Provost-Chalkley) and Doc (Tim Rozon) are trapped turns out to be a frozen wasteland. Doc finds Wynonna’s sister chained to a rock. The chains (she tells him) are tightening, and Doc discovers that this is because they are tied to a large, apparently organic mass which has been thrown down a well. Doc frees whatever it is from the well (he himself was freed from a similar hole in the ground some years previously) and takes the pressure off. There seems to be a general consensus that this strange unknown blob is significant. @EarperBex noted on Twitter (perhaps not entirely seriously): “…it reminds me of Beljoxa’s Eye from Buffy” (Beljoxa’s Eye appeared in Episode 7.11 of Buffy. It was a large, extra-dimensional creature with many eyes of many sizes. It could not see the future, only the truth of the present and the past.) @kko5572 speculated: “It looks like a gigantic version of the seeds that Bulshar was forcing down people’s throats in S3” and @gin_gasi suggested that it might be Jolene (the demon with a talent for baking played by Zoie Palmer in Episode 3.5, who was in the end absorbed by a tree). Clark Backo (Shae in “I See a Darkness“) stars as Lily Green in the made-for-TV romance LOVE AT LOOK LODGE. Lily, who dreams of being a successful hotel event coordinator, is given the chance to do just that by helping a guest (Noah, played by Jonathan Keltz) plan his sister’s wedding. Lily soon realizes that Noah, a workaholic, has no real interest in the project, and is planning the wedding out of a sense of duty. Determined to make the event a success, Lily spends more and more time with Noah, encouraging him to live in the moment and be more supportive of his sister’s big day. In the process, the two begin to develop feelings for one another. A trailer is available on YouTube. LOVE AT LOOK LODGE should be released in Canada later this year. Continue reading →
Dani Kind (Mercedes Gardner) will be Lucille in TWO DEATHS OF HENRY BAKER, a modern-day western that stars Gil Bellows as Henry Baker, a famous outlaw who is released from prison after 25 years. Old friends and old ememies, including a bearded vagrant with an old bullet scar, a drunken deputy with half an ear missing, and a burned out street hustler with a vendetta, trail Henry to the Belair Bar and Hotel in (fictional) Grey County somewhere in the US. Once there, Baker plans to reunite with his son who has been protecting the gold he stashed away before being jailed. Among others in the cast are Jess Salgueiro (Jackie in I’LL TAKE YOUR DEAD) and Tony Curran (Datak Tarr on DEFIANCE).
