SIREN – Season 2 Episode 4 – SPOILERS

Sedale Threatt Jr. and Clare Filpow

Levi (Sedale Threatt Jr.) learns to dance with the help of Paula (Clare Filipow)

Xander (Ian Verdun) follows a trail of blood, and finds Katrina (Aylya Marzolf), wounded after her unsuccessful challenge to Ryn’s leadership. He locks the injured mermaid in the hold of his ship. She escapes, but not before Xander has put out to sea, and since Katrina cannot operate the boat, she cannot kill Xander. Doing that would trap her on board since noise pollution prevents her from entering the water. Xander wants to know where to find Levi (Sedale Threatt Jr.), the guy who killed his dad. He suggests to Katrina that he might be able to help her with the noise problem in exchange for that information. (Just how he would be able to help is unclear.) Xander does not know that Katrina was the one who ordered the attack on his father’s boat. Continue reading →

SIREN – Season 2 Episode 1 – SPOILERS

Natalee Linez, Curtis Lum, and Ian Verdun

Nicole (Natalee Linez), meets Calvin and Xander (Curtis Lum and Ian Verdun). Later she would telephone her superiors: “Lieutenant Martinez reporting. I’ve followed the trail, gained access, secured the location. I’ll be in touch.”

Xander (Ian Verdun) is in for a rough time again. Levi, the merman who killed his dad, is back in town. Xander doesn’t know that yet, and he’s just coming to terms with having accidentally killed Ryn’s sister at the end of last season. He apologizes to Ryn and she seems to forgive him (or at least recognize that his regret is genuine). Xander has also come to terms with his roommate Calvin’s relationship with Janine (Hannah Levien). Janine subtly encourages Xander to hook up with Nicole (Natalie Linez) who is new in town and seems to be a bit of a fisherman groupie. But Natalie is a Navy Lieutenant who is likely in town to investigate merfolk, and Xander has yet to find out about that as well. Continue reading →
