Brooke Nevin will play Dakota Flaxon, sister of Mira Sorvino’s character K.J. In 2005, she was Buffy Sanders in SMALLVILLE’s vampire episode Thirst. The Toronto-born actor, who will turn 30 on 22 December, is Claudel in the low-budget superhero flick ALTER EGOS. Claudel is a love interest for the star of the film, Kris Lemche. Reviewer Gabe Toro, writing for Indiewire, said of Claudel: “…she hates superheroes so much that you’re waiting for the other shoe to drop in regards to the secrets she keeps.” ALTER EGOS can be streamed on Netflix.
Alimi Ballard was Herbal Thought in DARK ANGEL’s first season. He will be Leiutenant Hollis Figgins, K.J.’s superior officer. Ballard is currently filming LOST ANGELS, which is due out in 2013 and is described as “an honest yet brutal look at the effects of fame”. And he is Officer Flores in THE INSOMMNIAC, also due to be released next year, about a guy who gets robbed and becomes sleepless and suspicious as a result.
