KETHER DONOHUE STARS IN ‘THE BAY’
Kether Donhohue turns up in interesting films. Pixel 51 first encountered her when she had a small (but significant) part in RINGER Episode 11. Her last film was ALTERED STATES OF PLAINE, and she was Alice in PITCH PERFECT. Now Donohue stars as investigative reporter Donna Thompson in THE BAY, a horror film set in the fictitious town of Claridge, Maryland. (There is a Claridge in Pennsylvania, but not in Maryland.) The story is described this way on the film’s website:
Two million fish washed ashore. One thousand blackbirds dropped from the sky. On July 4, 2009, a deadly menace swept through the quaint seaside town of Claridge, Maryland, but the harrowing story of what happened that Independence Day has never been told…until now.
It co-stars (among others) Kristen Connolly (Dana in THE CABIN IN THE WOODS) and is directed by Barry Levinson, who also directed such films as Bugsy, Rain Man, and Good Morning Vietnam.
THE BAY will be in theatres 2 November. More on this after I see it.
