Hélène Joy (Dr. Julia Ogden of MURDOCH MYSTERIES), along with Liane Balaban (Mooney Pottie in NEW WATERFORD GIRL) will star in the film WOMAN IN CAR which will be directed by Vanya Rose. Joy previously starred in Rose’s 28 minute short film AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL, (see clip at bottom of post).
WOMAN IN CAR is set in Montreal, and is about a widow who plans to marry a successful man, only to have her life disrupted by a stranger who enters the family circle as the wedding day approaches.
This fall, Joy will be onstage at The Company Theatre in Toronto in the Andrew Bovell play SPEAKING IN TONGUES from 29 October to 24 November, and also at the Belfry Theatre in Victoria, British Columbia from 22 January to 24 February.
