Aleks Paunovic (Julius) will be Trevor and Rukiya Bernard (Doc) will be Taylor in the psychological thriller “92”. Set in Japan, the U.S., UK, France, Sweden, Serbia and the United Arab Emirates, the film tells the story of five characters who have joined forces in an effort to shut down a dead tech mogul’s most secret invention, a machine intended to solve all of mankind’s problems, but which could end all life on earth. The thriller was shot in eight different countries with director Rick Dugdale running the show through a virtual command centre. “I’m directing over Zoom,” Dugdale told Dana Gee of the Vancouver Sun. “It feels like we are standing on a film set. We have a cinematographer, we have a production designer, we have the actors and we have the writer and the editor on set as well.” The script by Cam Cannon relies heavily on virtual footage. “92” is expected to be released in the US sometime in July.
Paunovic is also Jim in another psychological thriller, Titus Heckel‘s CHAINED, the story of a bullied and abused boy (Marlon Kazadi) who discovers a crimminal (Paunovic) chained inside an abandoned warehouse, and befriends him. A violent betrayal “turns the abused into the abuser,” putting both their lives at risk, but it has not been revealed who betrays whom. Among others in the cast are Adrian Holmes (V-WARS), and Roark Critchlow (PRETTY LITTLE LIARS). When CHAINED is released (no date has been set), it will be available on Super Channel and Hollywood Suite.
Dakota Daulby (Willem in “The Prism“) will be Tad in THE LAST VICTIM. Ali Larter stars as an anthropologist trapped in the New Mexico wilderness, and desperately trying to avoid capture by a gang led by the ruthlessly idealistic Jake (Ralph Ineson). Ron Perlman plays a small town Sheriff, who, along with his quirky deputy Mindy Gaboon (Camille Legg), tracks the gang after it attacks his town. The screenplay is by Ashley James Louis, whose unproduced horror screenplay CATALINA won Best Sci-Fi Script at the 2019 Hollywood Horrorfest. Kevin Hoiseth, head of sales for Concourse Media (which has acquired worldwide rights to the film) told Screendaily: “The Last Victim is a captivating neo-western that succeeds at infusing palpable human emotion into a suspenseful thriller, similar to movies like ‘Hell Or High Water’ and ‘Deliverance.'” Filming wrapped in December. No release date has been announced.
