As a criminal mastermind, Catherine Martin (Andrea Roth) is a failure. Her scheme to extort funds from her ex-husband went bad due to poor choice of accomplices. She fell into Andrew’s real estate trap and traded the money she had gotten from her first illegal venture for a Palm Beach property of dubious value. Finally, her attempt to assassinate Bridget (whom she still believes to be Siobhan) went bust for a second time when her hired gun inexplicably failed to finish the job and was shot dead by Agent Machado (Nestor Carbonell).
Henry the dimwitted novelist continued his own misadventures. Having lured his wealthy and powerful father-in-law Tim Arbogast to invest some of his money in Andrew’s bogus hedge fund, he turned the evidence of Andrew’s fraud over to said in-law for no reason I can fathom. He did this even though he had accidentally killed Siobhan’s other lover (played by Justin Bruening) in the obtaining of that evidence. What exactly did Henry think was going to happen? Especially since Arbogast to some extent still suspects Henry of having something to do with the death of Gemma (he didn’t). So Arbogast did not turn Andrew over to the cops. He turned Henry over to the cops.
Yes, we did see Stripper Bridget in a flashback. No, she did not strip. This is sort of like when Sarah Michelle Gellar played a porn star in SOUTHLAND TALES and did not porn.
One interesting guest star was stuntman Jace Jeanes, whose character was listed as “rough looking guy”. He was the Bodaway Macawi associate that Agent Machado got suspended for beating the crap out of on the street. Jeanes also worked as a stunt double on the film ABRAHAM LINCOLN, VAMPIRE HUNTER, which is due out on 22 June of this year.
