There is a peculiarity about Renee O’Connor films and TV appearances. In almost none of them has she any romantic relationship or involvement. Her character in BEYOND THE FARTHEST STAR, which has yet to be released, is married, but that will be the exception.
She has been an unattached scientist (2010: Moby Dick), a divorced scientist (Monster Ark), an unattached psychologist (Boogeyman 2), and a single astronaut (Alien Apocalypse). In AA, she did get in some cuddling with Bruce Campbell, though.
She was a single gunslinger in GHOST TOWN. In THE ROCKFORD FILES, she was an unattached starlet. In FOLLOW THE RIVER she was just unattached.
When she appeared in an episode of CRIMINAL MINDS, her character’s husband died in the first few minutes of the episode.
Of her early appearances, only two portrayed her with a romantic attachment. In MATCH POINT her boyfriend was Bart (Brian Krause), and in TEEN ANGEL she was involved with Dennis Mullen (Adam Biesk).
In the 2000 film RUBBERNECKING she may have had some sort of romance, but the film was never released and I have not seen it.
I will not attempt to analyze this, but it is interesting.
