Emmanuelle Vaugier (The Morrigan) stars as Agatha Sayers, a novelist whose daughter is kidnapped, in the TV movie KILLER ENDING. The abduction is carried out in a way that imitates the plot of Agatha’s latest book (which has not yet been published) and she begins to suspect that her recently hired assistant might be involved. Written and directed by Christie Will Wolf, and filmed in Langley, B.C., KILLER ENDING will premiere on Lifetime in the US Saturday 30 June at 8pm, and in Canada on Superchannel Friday 20 July at 9:05pm.
The Fluffball Foundation (an orgainization that supports animal rescue, founded by Vaugier in 2009) recently posted this on Instagram: “Emmanuelle’s birthday [23 June] is coming up, and we’re hoping you’ll help make it extra special! Give her the best gift ever by donating to the 2019 Fluffball, which will once again benefit Forgotten Horses Rescue. Donate $10 or more and we’ll give you a surprise gift in return! To donate, visit our GoFundMe Page.”
Ksenia Solo (Kenzi) will star in the thriller SWEET HARMONY, set in a rent-controlled apartment building in a recently gentrified neighborhood of New York City, where conflict develops between the newer upscale residents and one of the original tenants. Directed by Jeff Beesley (who also directed the 2009 film DOLAN’S CADILLAC starring Emmanuelle Vaugier), SWEET HARMONY is scheduled to begin filming in Winnipeg this summer.
Solo is also Sydney Jameson, an ambitious and obsessive university student, in Chris Robert’s feature ANOTHER YOU. Sydney’s relationship with her boyfriend Marcus (Diego Bonita) slowly becomes a fixation that takes her into the depths of despair. She tries to lose herself in scientific investigation, looking for a way to use the “theory of déjà vu” to explore and possibly alter past mistakes. Kris Holden-Ried (Dyson) appears in the film as Father Goodwin. ANOTHER YOU is available on iTunes and on Amazon Video. YouTube has a trailer.
Zoie Palmer (Lauren) has an as yet unspecified role in the second episode of the second season of PURE, which stars Ryan Robbins and Alex Paxton-Beesley (Lola in “The Kenzi Scale“) as Noah and Anna Funk, an Ontario Mennonite couple battling corruption in their community. Gord Rand (Dr. Snook in “In Memoriam“) will also appear in the episode as Noah’s brother Abel. (Rand portrayed another character named Snook in a 2013 short film titled LOST GIRL, written and directed by Anna Keel, which has no apparent relation to the TV show.) Season One of PURE is available on HULU in the US and on the CBC website in Canada. Season Two has begun filming in Nova Scotia.
