(also Greg Bryk, and Allie MacDonald)
Allie MacDonald will be Edie Soames, a young woman whose suffering seeks an outlet in brutal violence, in the last five episodes of CARDINAL, a six-episode miniseries based on Giles Blunt‘s award-winning mystery novel Forty Words for Sorrow. John Doyle, writing about CARDINAL for The Globe and Mail, called MacDonald’s performance “fiercely good”, and went on to say that CARDINAL :…is about duality. The two cops, Cardinal (Billy Campbell) and Delorme (Karine Vanasse), opposites yet united. One’s an Anglo, the other is Québécois. There is Cardinal’s personal life and his public life. There is a series of contrasts between couples who are bound together for different reasons.” Directed by Daniel Grou (who also directed the award-winning series 19-2), and filmed in North Bay, Ontario, CARDINAL premiered on CTV in Canada on 25 January. It will be released in Sweden on 15 February.

Beth returns to Chicago and sneaks into the burning building in an effort to get them out.
