I am continually being surprised by the President.
Isaac Asimov was among those cited in Obama’s immigration policy speech as examples of immigrants who “have helped make this country strong and prosperous”. The President said:
“We can point to the genius of Einstein, the designs of I. M. Pei, the stories of Isaac Asimov, the entire industries that were forged by Andrew Carnegie.”
Asimov would doubtless have been pleased to be mentioned by the President in the same breath as Einstein. I am very pleased to learn that Obama very possibly has read some of Asimov’s stories.
