Amber Tamblyn is working on a new show for FOX in which she will portray a young teacher. She is working with HOUSE executive producer Katie Jacobs and Ed Burns (THE WIRE). Besides that, she is still working on a screen adaptation of Janet Fitch’s book PAINT IT BLACK.
THE HOUSE EPISODE:
In the medical part of the show, Martha Masters persisted, and found the root cause of the patient’s troubles. Then there was the shock doc portion of the show, where House picks up Thirteen as she is released from jail and tries to figure out what crime she committed. (This was quite obvious once it was disclosed that she had pleaded down to a charge of overprescribing, but it took House a good twenty minutes of the show to figure it out.)
I am pleased about Tamblyn’s new show on FOX, but I did look up the last attempt at a TV series by Tamblyn. It was a 2009 cop show called THE UNUSUALS and it was unusually bad. It lasted 10 episodes and I don’t see how it managed to do that. Watching the first two was so painful, I could not attempt to watch episode three. It is available on Netflix, though. Obscurus Lupa ought to review that one.
