Allison Dawn Doiron (Amanda the Kitsune) was Elaine Henshaw, a member of a gang of thieves, in episode 8.14 of MURDOCH MYSTERIES (the one where Emily finally kisses Lillian). The title of the episode (Toronto’s Girl Problem) may have been taken from that of a book: Toronto’s Girl Problem: The Perils and Pleasures of the City, 1880-1930 (Studies in Gender and History) by Carolyn Strange, published in 1995, that discussed the impact of the industrial revolution on women.
Linzee Barclay (the handmaiden on the train in LOST GIRL season 4) has appeared in three episodes of the CW show REIGN as a prostitute maned Sharlene, and Rachel Skarsten will soon join the show’s cast as the young Queen Elizabeth I. Others from LOST GIRL who have appeared on REIGN include Katie Boland & Shawn Doyle.
At the very end of an interview with Ward and Al on SiriusXM radio in Toronto, Zoie Palmer mentioned that she and Paul Amos are talking about doing theatre. Amos then tweeted that others involved in the project are Kris Holden-Ried and Greg Bryk. (In an August 2013 post, this blog reported that Amos would direct Palmer, Bryk, and Holden-Reid in the Harold Pinter play BETRAYAL in the Spring of 2014, but that production never materialized.)
Vanessa Matsui (Cassie the Oracle) and Kathleen Munroe will star in the webseries GHOST BFF, which will be a comedy about depression that follows two girls, one alive and one dead, across space and time as they struggle to find themselves and to right past wrongs. Munroe also has the recurring role of Rachel Braidwood in the ABC series RESURRECTION.
From the GHOST BFF TRAILER:
“This is a funny story. I killed myself and I”m in purgatory and I regret it. No, I swear, this is a funny story. I used to have a puppy and a life that was fine and my best friend Amy was just incredible. But she misses me now and she’s getting married to fix how bad she feels and I can’t move on because I’ve left something unfinished.”

Anthony Lemke plays Ryan the Realtor in the TV series GOOD WITCH (he’s the good witch’s best friend). The series premiered on 28 February, and is a continuation of the Hallmark movie THE GOOD WITCH’S WONDER, which aired last October. (Lenke wasn’t in that.)
Lyndie Greenwood, one of the dark fae sisters draining the life out of travelling students in TABLE FOR FAE, will have an unspecified role in the film THINGS YOU MISSED WHEN YOU WERE GONE, which will star Soko and is due out sometime in 2016. Greenwood is perhaps best known for the role of Jenny Mills on FOX’s SLEEPY HOLLOW.
